BRENDAN KLEIN

A Northeast Queens native, Brendan enjoys over thirteen years of experience in campaign management, strategic messaging, targeting, budgeting, direct voter contact, and more.

Brendan has served as lead consultant for various Political and Private clients from New York to Los Angeles. He’s helped secure victory for a number of candidates across New York State.

Brendan specializes in marketing strategy, brand development, data analysis, operational planning, budget management, and account oversight. He solves problems, large and small, to help clients navigate complex climates and amplify their message to the public.

Brendan holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Affairs from Baruch College.

CARL SANFORD

A son of Brooklyn, Carl Sanford is the Director of Campaigns at North Shore Strategies. He is a seasoned political operative with a Bachelor of Business Administration focused on Finance and Political Science from Baruch College.

With experience in both government and political campaigns, Carl specializes in campaign and public issue management, strategic planning, field campaigns, and communications, bringing a holistic set of skills to every project.

When he's not working hard for our clients, Carl can be found in his Prospect Heights Brooklyn home, enjoying the company of his cat, dog, and girlfriend while cheering on the New York Mets, Knicks, and Rangers.

SAM POWERS

A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Sam Powers has dedicated his career to fighting for working-class issues. Beginning as an organizer on the Obama 2012 campaign, Sam quickly discovered his strengths in grassroots organizing and campaign management, hopping across the nation, supporting and directing some of the largest grassroots projects.

A former strategist for the Hillary Clinton campaign in Florida, he has worked across ten states, developing and executing strategic campaigns and mobilizing key stakeholders for candidates running in competitive state legislative, congressional, and statewide political races.

PRINCIPAL • STRATEGIST

JAY SATTERFIELD

Jay brings 12 years of experience from the private sector, political campaign world, government, and government relations to North Shore Strategies as a Principal Strategist for the Southern Division. His focus is on policy, political strategy, messaging, organizing, and outreach

Prior to this, Jay worked for former Congresswoman Elaine Luria in Virginia’s Second Congressional District as Labor Outreach Manager and Federal Grants Coordinator while working part time as a Political Advisor for candidates and incumbents in Maryland and South Carolina. Additionally he’s served as Campaign Manager for the Attorney General of Maryland as well as the Virginia Democratic Party and the DCCC for Congressman Joe Cunningham.

Jay holds a bachelor’s degree in history from The College of Charleston.

PRINCIPAL • STRATEGIST

ERIC SOTO

Born and raised in Harlem, Eric Soto brings a nuanced understanding of diverse communities, and an infectious enthusiasm, to his work every day. His dedication to the political landscape is matched by his commitment to amplifying voices and effecting change at every level of governance.

Eric is a seasoned political operative with a track record spanning city, state, and federal races. Beginning his journey as an intern at North Shore Strategies in 2018, he swiftly progressed to roles such as Political Action Coordinator for the NYC and Vicinity District Council of Carpenters. His multifaceted expertise encompasses field operations, issue advocacy, communications, and coalition-building, contributing to successful campaigns in pivotal positions such as political organizer, field director, and deputy campaign manager.

He is a proud graduate of an NYC Career and Technical Education public school and is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from CUNY LaGuardia Community College.

ASSOCIATE

JOSH ROSENBLUT

A Westchester native, Josh Rosenblut is a Junior Associate at North Shore Strategies. He is currently a Sophomore at Emory University, majoring in Political Science & Business.

Josh has been a part of campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels, with extensive experience in campaign management and an expertise in building large-scale field programs. He has focused much of his career on youth organizing, developing successful internship programs that converted high school volunteers into hundreds of thousands of doors knocked. Most recently, Josh managed New York City Council Member Linda Lee’s competitive re-election campaign.

In addition to a fascination with politics, Josh is a lifelong New York Yankee and Knicks fan, and enjoys playing tennis and golf.
